Is one of your new year’s resolutions to get your home in tip-top shape? These 10 ingenious home organization hacks will help you to achieve just that. And with January being recognised as National ‘Get Organised’ Month, there’s simply no better time to get stuck in than right now.

Keep matching linen together

For a neat and tidy linen cupboard, simply fold your sheets and duvet covers and place them inside their matching pillowcases. When it’s time to change your bedding, there’ll be no need to rummage through the entire cupboard to find a matching set!

Tension rod for cleaning supplies

The space under the kitchen sink is notorious for being dingy and disorganized. But there is hope yet - thanks to tension rods, hooks, and some clear storage containers. To achieve this look, hang a tension rod across your cabinet for spray bottles, suspending them by their spray triggers. Use hooks on the doors for gloves or grocery bags, and storage containers for all the smaller odds and ends such as cloths, cleaning brushes, sponges or dishwasher tablets.

Binder clips as cable keepers

Say goodbye to tangled cables with this fantastic cable-sorting hack. Simply clamp some binder clips onto the edge of your TV stand or office desk and thread your cables through the fold-back loops. This will keep them secure and easily accessible.

Bread tags as cable labels

Once you’ve prepared your binder clip cable keepers, take things up a notch by turning some used bread tags into these cute cord labels. The tags can be placed at both ends of your cables for maximum organization.

Muffin pan arts & crafts caddy

Who would have thought that the humble muffin pan could be the perfect storage solution for arts and crafts supplies! This idea would also work well for little bits and bobs such as hair clips and bands or rubber bands and paper clips.

Cereal box drawer dividers

Keep your drawers clean and organized with these DIY drawer dividers made from old cereal boxes. First, take a bunch of them and fit them inside the drawer you’d like to use, then cut them to size as needed. You could also decorate them with leftover wrapping paper, washi tape or fabric for a colourful effect.

Storage for shower supplies

Found: the ultimate storage solution for shower supplies! All you need to do is install an extra shower rod then hook on your sponges, scrunchies, and storage baskets using the shower curtain rings.

Dish drying racks for lids

Organize all your Tupperware, pan and pot lids with ease using a dish drying rack. We also love this idea of installing screw-in hooks for hangable pots and pans. Another great way to organize pots and pans in drawers is to use adjustable rack organisers.

Stuffed toys bean bag

This hack is perfect for kids with an extensive stuffed toy collection! They can still play with all their stuffed toys when they want to, but when they don’t, everything will be neatly tucked away in a pretty and comfy bean bag.
