Chilli oil can be used to add flavour and heat to various dishes and can also be used in food preparation like grilling steak, drizzling over pasta or even in sauces.
You will need:
- 1 cup olive oil
- 18 – 20 dry chilli peppers of choice
- Clean glass bottle
- Gloves
How to get started:
- Put on your gloves and slice each pepper so that the insides and seeds are exposed.
- Place the peppers in the glass bottle and fill them with olive oil.
- Allow soaking for 2-3 days before gifting or using.

You will need:
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 large pack of marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies
How to get started:
- In a large pot, melt butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until melted then remove from heat.
- Add the cereal and stir until well coated.
- Using a wooden spoon, press the mixture into a baking pan and cut it into 2-inch squares.

3. Homemade Shaving Cream

If dad enjoys spending time keeping his beard well-groomed or prefers the clean-shaven look, then this homemade shaving cream is the perfect gift for Father’s Day. Not only will it help keep dads skin smooth, but it will also keep him smelling fresh after a shave.
You will need:
- 1/3 cup shea butter
- 1/3 cup virgin coconut oil
- ¼ cup jojoba or sweet almond oil
- 10 drops of rosemary essential oil
- 3-5 drops of peppermint essential oil
How to get started:
- Combine the shea butter and coconut oil in a small pot over low heat, stirring until they have both melted. Once melted, remove from the heat and transfer to a heat-proof bowl.
- Now add in the jojoba or almond oil along with the essential oils. Stir completely.
- Place the bowl in the fridge and chill until solid. Remove from the fridge and whip using a hand blender or stand mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Spoon the cream into a jar and close the lid carefully.
- Store in a cool and dry place.

4. Chocolatey Microwave Fudge

These simple chocolate microwave fudge pieces are quick to make and are guaranteed to disappear faster than what they can pop out of the fridge making them the perfect Father’s Day gift to help dad to treat the midnight nibbles.
You will need:
- 3 cups chocolate chips
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 4 tbsp baking butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
How to get started:
- Grease an 8 x 8-inch baking tray with cooking spray followed by tin foil.
- Combine the chocolate chips, condensed milk and butter in a large microwave-safe dish. Microwave for a minute then stir. Repeat this every 30 seconds stirring well until the fudge is melted and smooth.
- Once melted, add the vanilla extract and salt. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tray and then place it in the fridge to set for at least 2hours. Once set, cut into 1-inch squares and place into a gift bag for dad.
