FSC – CoC Certification for House of York
House of York division of Eveready Pty Ltd achieved a land mark in its environmental performance recently when it received the Chain of Custody (CoC) certificate from the renowned certification agency SGS – Qualifor for Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards as per FSC-STD-40-004. The certificate was issued on 21st April 2009 and is valid for a period of 5 years.
Forest Stewardship Council is an independent, non-governmental, not for profit organization established to promote the responsible management of world’s forests. FSC provides standard setting, trademark assurance and accreditation services for companies and organizations interested in responsible forestry.
The Chain of Custody certificate for Eveready – House of York tracks FSC certified material throughout the production process – from the forest to the consumer, including all successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing & distribution.
Products carrying the FSC label and logo are independently certified to assure consumers that they come from forests that are well managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations.
